Series Type Multiple Battery Charger

Christie's C 690 and C 1290 Series Battery Chargers are heavy duty continuous rated battery shop equipment for series charging applications. Chargers provide 90 volts finish charge voltage for 36 cells. (six 12 volt batteries)

Industrial duty transformer construction and rectifier diodes give these chargers long life and rugged reliability needed for continuous duty in busy shops.

Output Current for 36 Cells
The C 690 and C 1290 can both charge up to 36 cells (six 12 volt batteries) to a final charging voltage of 15 volts each. The C 690 is rated for 6 amps continuous charging current. The C 1290 is rated for 12 amps continuous charging current.

Circuit Protection
Fuse protection is provided for both the primary and secondary circuits to protect against accidental reverse connections and against overloading of the charger. Fuses are replaceable on the front cabinet panel.

Rate Control Adjustments
Rate control switches provide for coarse and fine control of charging output levels. Each switch offers eight positions for accurate control of charging current.

Dual Voltage Transformer
The C 1290 can be used with either 115 or 230 volt ac power inputs. Simple internal jumper wires allow for quick selection of correct input power voltage.
