600A Inductive Amp-probe
Christie now
offers a portable, inductive amp-probe. The amp-probe
is designed to work in conjunction with Christie battery
load testers for checking charging system / alternator
current output.
The AP 600
is accurate to 100 ma and has auto-ranging for 40A,
400A, and 600A. It can be used for measuring parasitic
draw and for trouble-shooting various electrical problems.
It also features Auto-Zero and Auto-Hold functions.
Operation is
simple: Clamp it on, press the auto-zero button, and
read the current measurement.
Charging System / Alternator
test
The AP 600 is designed to be used with a Christie carbon
pile battery load tester (CT 500 or CT 800) for complete
charging system analysis.
600 Amp Auto Range Capacity
Three current measurement ranges are provided: 40A,
400A, and 600A. These ranges are automatically selected
by the AP 600. Operation is simple. Clamp it on, press
the auto-zero button, and read the current measurement.
Precision Accuracy
The AP 600 is accurate to 100 ma. It uses a 9 volt battery
with typically 50 hours of expected life. Dimensions:
7.7" H x 2.8" W x 1.2" D.
Auto Zero
Christie's new amp-probe has a "auto-zero"
button rather than a pot adjustment to expedite testing.
Protective Tether
The AP 600 comes with a tether attached that can be
fastened to a tester or tester stand so that the probe
will not be misplaced or left under the hood of a vehicle
being serviced. |
